Demining Training Courses

1. General (Land Mine Impact) Survey Course.
This training course is designed to provide trainees with the necessary skills on survey/registration and reporting of mine and ERW affected regions/areas  in order to forming an action data base, updates and in-country prioritization of operations.
Training days: 5-10

2. Technical Survey Course
The Technical Survey Course is designed to provide the basic skills necessary for personnel to conduct detailed information gathering, marking the area for reduction purposes and/or to support mine clearance and mechanical demining operations. TSC will also provide trainees with basic topography, map reading / land navigation and reporting skills.
Training days: 10

3. Basic Demining Course
The Basic Demining Course (BDC) is designed to provide trainees with the knowledge on land mines/ammunition, basic skills necessary to locate mines and other explosive remnants of war within IMAS compliant Humanitarian Demining Operations.

4. Battle Area Clearance Course
The BAC course is designed to provide trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to search, detect and identify unexploded and abandoned ammunition, using Visual and Subsurface clearance techniques within IMAS compliant Humanitarian Demining Operations.
Training days: 20

5. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course (Levels: 1,and 2)
EOD 1 and 2 levels provide trainees with necessary knowledge on planning, searching, identification, categorization, transportation and final disposal of ammunition.
Training days: 30

6. Team Leader and Supervisor Course
TLSC provides lessons on mine action mission planning, management and leading the demining and EOD teams within the IMAS compliant operations.
Training days: 15

7. Quality Assurance and Quality Control Course
QA&QC course specifically tailored for Mine Action personnel for implementation and meeting Quality requirements. Course includes theory and practice in QA Monitoring missions, and QC Inspection techniques used in Humanitarian Demining Operations.
Training days: 15

8. Instructor Course
is designed to provide the basic skills necessary for personnel to conduct instructions, prepare lesson plans, draw training programs, to use training equipment and simulators, implement effective teaching and questioning techniques, and effectively act front of the audience during training missions.

9. Mine Risk Education Course
MRE Course is designed to provide trainees with the skills, and the ways of conducting MRE mission in order to prevent people from mine incidents through education and pertinent awareness.
Training days: 5-10

10. Mechanical Demining Operator Course  (on BOZENA 4,  BOZENA 5 and MV4)
This training course provides trainees with information about machine(s)and skills necessary to operate in a mine field.
Training days: 30

11. Mine Detection Dog handler Course
is designed for training of the nominated staff to be able to handle and use a trained dog for searching land mines and other relevant explosive devices.

12. D-MINE Training Simulation Systems Training Course

This course is especially designed to provide trainers and trainees the use of the three types of the D-MINE equipment. After the course, participants are able to teach and use the equipment for simulating the land mines and multifunctional Improvised Explosive Devices. Training lessons are divided into four logical stages such as: explanation, demonstration, imitation and practice.

Training days: 10 and  minimum 5 participants


All training courses are provided in English, Russian, Turkish and Azerbaijani languages.
